Just a quick note

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that Nate...yes Nate...created a blog for us and the address is http://nateandamyjackson.blogspot.com. I think I will be doing more updates on that one than this one. Nate actually knows how to make the page look good and can get pictures and things on faster so he will be doing the maintenance..lol. Enjoy!

4 weeks!

So it has been 4 weeks now since we've been married. I can't believe it!! It's gone by so fast, but we've had so much fun! The wedding went perfectly and it really was the best day of my life! I haven't gotten wedding pictures back yet but I should have them in the next couple of weeks. I tried to add a few pictures of some of the things we've done in the past few weeks. The first three of Hawaii. I wish I could put more on here but it takes forever! I guess if you want to see more, either get on Facebook or come over to see us :). Hawaii was AMAZING!! It was honestly the best honeymoon I could ever ask for! Nate and I had SO much fun..tee hee. Honestly though, Hawaii has to be one of the most beautiful places on this planet. We did so much too. We went snorkeling (which didn't bode well with me....the ocean scares me and makes me claustrophobic...lol), laid out on the beach, swam at the resort (Turtle Bay is GORGEOUS and expensive...we didn't eat the meals there), went sight seeing around Laie, spent a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center (which was awesome!), went to Pearl Harbor, went to a swap meet, bought a bunch of souvenirs, went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation, got sunburnt, ate shave ice, and just soaked up the sun! It was so much fun and neither of us wanted to leave. Coming back to real life was definitely a let down. But we've loved living in our little condo here in Springville. I wanted to break it in a little with a party so we had my cousin Dia and her husband Andy over for the American Idol Finale.

These are the pictures of our fun American Idol party! I decked the place out in blue and silver with streamers, hanging CDs, etc. I made a little stage for a game that we never ended up playing, but posed in front of it anyways. We had yummy snacks and had star shaped cookies and coke glasses (in honor of the judges' cups) full of Cherry 7-Up floats with vanilla ice cream, whipped topping and a cherry on top. It was a blast!

Last weekend we went to Mom and Dad's place for their farewell and while we were there Nate bonded with his new nephews through a wrestling match! The boys loved it even though they had no chance with Nate, as you can see. It was so cute!

Then on Memorial Day we went on a geo-cache hunt for fun. We were kind of lazy that day and the dreary weather didn't help so we finally got up and got out of the house to do this. We pack a lunch and went up Hobble Creek Canyon to find a geo-cache up there. It was cold and rainy but beautiful! I was dumb and wore my flip-flops so my feet were frozen and numb by the time we were done. It was all worth it though because we found it and logged our names onto. So cool! Any of you who haven't tried this should! It's a blast! We ate our packed lunches and admired the beautiful scenery up the canyon.

Life has been great! We're both just working now and having fun when we can. The biggest concern is figuring out where we're going to live in a month and a half. Nate has accepted the job at BOEING and we'll be leaving around the 15th of July. I can't believe it's so soon! But it will be a fun adventure! If anybody knows of anybody who's going on a mission up there and needs someone to housesit let us know! or even if someone knows of a place for sale up there we'd love to know! Heavenly Father has truly blessed us and we know things will work out. It will be sad to leave here though. I will definitly miss my family very much!!! This will be my first time away from them like this and I hope I cope well. I will also miss this ward we just moved into. I know we've only been for a couple of weeks but they have been SO kind and sweet to us and have totally welcomed us in. I haven't felt this at home in a ward since my ward in Colorado. The people are so nice and I also found out that my friend Melanie from high school choir is in the ward too. Small world! Anyways, I'll try to be better at updating what's going on in our lives!
